With electr-ohm compilation 1 the label builds a bridge between Experimental, Industrial and IDM perfectly. At first sight or should I better say at first ear you will note that all of the thirteen artists used a lot of hard- and software to create sounds capes that I really would like to call fantastic. With the first track called "Instrumental" from Sunao Inami produces the evidence that a fat guitar sound didn't need strings, you can also take synced oscillators... Or take Extra Terrestrial that creates a cinematic atmosphere with his rhythmic Industrial track called "Noize Creator". A rhythmic masterpiece... Or the winking tracks called “Fear event killing all people in Grand Theft Auto” How can a chaotic track sound so beautiful? Absolute amazing!
Thirteen tracks from seven talented international artists. This compilation has a lot of qualities; first of all it's well chosen and I can really approve ALL tracks. A thing, which doesn’t happen, often when you are talking about compilations. For sure this is a compilation for fans, but this special record is also a good one to step into the wonderful world of IDM, Industrial… or let’s name it experimental electronica.
Electr-Ohm shows again that they are the one with a good taste, enough fantasy and courage to bring new artists to light.
This compilation is a reference and a must have.
