Ebola - the renewer of dubstep IDM Breakcore - is back! After releasing his brilliant “On A Gastro-Bass Tip” he now returns with “Mutant Dubstep vol. 1” on Spectraliquid.
If you ever been doubtfully about the fact that underground music could be also named dance music, here comes the evidence.
With two bomb-tracks called “Painkillers” and “Teledildonics” he managed to create music that owns heavy bass and melodies without getting to near to club music. A complex high-wire act, performed in a nonesuch way. Dubstep-Breakcore that will destroy your speakers - and when you buy the next pair you will do it with a smile on your face. I really love these tracks for their accessible roughness without selling their soul to the mainstream. This is the kind of ignition that I missed in this musical genre for such a long time. Combing “brutal” music with the right portion of “easiness”. I really can’t decide which of these two tracks I would name my favourite one, because both own personality, brutality, genius and enough harmonies for the dancefloor. Brilliant!
But that’s not the end of the story, because “Mutant Dubstep vol. 1” also represents the remix version of “Painkillers” by End.user and the Shitmat remix of “Teledildonics”. What would you expect if the music created by a genius gets remixed by the most talented musicians and producers in this musical genre? An explosion of bombastic sound. These remixes are brilliant and bring out the roughness and musicality of these great tracks.
Mutant Dubstep Vol.1 is a must have and I am really excited about the next part! 10+10
