This album really surprised me! Bryan Konietzko aka Ginormous one of my favourite “hymen artists” returns with his third album. In forty-three minutes Ginormous takes you by the hand on a fast journey. Unlike to its forerunners “At Night, Under Artificial Light” is a very melodic and accessible album. But don't get me wrong the forerunners were brilliant album with a very intensive narrative using experimental sounds. Now the message is hidden behind the melodious track structures. The album is a restless document telling short stories about urban living at night. Breathless and restless the eleven tracks demand attention of the listener. Somewhere between dance music structures and experimental sounds Bryan paints outlines of everlasting moments that twinkle in artificial light. A fascinating album using sharp synth sounds and warm bass sounds that own a very intensive high recognition value. Mixing these sharp sounds with grainy and distorted effects it becomes a distinctive character that packs its listener.
This album is my favourite in June! Perfect!
