Raoul Sinier also called RA is an absolute breathtaking phenomenon. His music is made to loose words - and words aren't made to describe his all-embracing art. After releasing the “Huge Samurai Radish” single and remixes Ra returns now with in my opinion most considerable work called“ Brain Kitchen”.
It's absolute breathtaking how Raoul Sinier keeps the balance between forward driving power and intellectual track writing. Raoul puts more tension and force in his tracks than ever before, so this album owns more rawness and rough sound at first sight. On the other side this album is like a secret garden, with hidden places telling untold stories.
I don't like to use the word “deepness” in my reviews so much, but how can someone describe this bundling of a concept and its implementation in such a multilayered way... with deepness? Yes I think that's the right word, the sound follows the story and the story follows the sound, the moment where sound and story meet is like asking an eyewitness about something incomprehensible ... angered, speaking without any punctuation mark that's the way Raoul creates his music but never headless. I think the secret behind his genius is that he thinks about every move he make and while he thinks about his moves he acts. This album packs you from the first second, its fast but never stress you, its rough but never square-edged. It's sweet, but not a love poem, it's intellectual but never wasting the air you breath.
Brain Kitchen - a candid statement! 10++
