Handmade electronic music? Somewhere between Funk and New Disco? Doesn’t sound so spectacular to the in-crowd that prefers more Minimal and New House.

But “Romantic Jet Dance” by Rodion is different; this album captures the listener with every beat. Yes for sure there is a big portion of Italo style Disco on this album, but it never sounds kind of cheesy or kind of outdated. This album is full of life like a river it flows on and on!

Rodion is Ed Cianfanelli hailing from Rome, a 28-year-old multitalented prodigy. Dealt at the age of five as the next piano-wunderkind, but under the influence of soundtracks of the first Japanese Science Fiction Comic series his life received a 180° degree turn. Later on under the guidance of Marco Passarani he get more into producing his own music, or shall I say soundtrack?

You can hear this in each note of his music that Ed lives in his own Science- Disco world, but the fascinating thing about his music is the effect on the listener. A kind of high spirits without being cheap, if you know what I mean, comes out of your stereo!

This is a fascinating record, a party record, a “travel” record and a home listening record as well!

Absolute brilliant!
