It isn't the first time that I state that some labels are really underrated; one of the most underrated experimental electronic labels on Europe is Pharmafabrik. A label with ideas and innovative musical views. So with the album "Signia" by PureH the label proves again its "bridging" element. So before I talk about this fantastic album I would like to tell you something about PureH. PureH based in Slovenia started playing electronic and experimental music back in the beginning of the early Nineties. All members had many experiences in several noise, jazz, rock and industrial bands touring all over Europe until they formed PurteH a dark ambient experimental band. PureH get acclaimed for releasing countless limited-edition albums, performing on different compilations, festivals and CD Roms,TV and Radio commercials. They also performed on the World exhibition 2000 in Hanover. Restless experimental musicians with a artistic background that would fill a complete book. On Pharmafabrik they release the album "Anadonia" a minimalist rock album with a dark ambience. Laid back rhythms, melodies with organic drumming and psychedelic samples. A unique IDM album that took new paths to conquer the ears of the audience. Now with "Signia" Pharmafabrik enters the next stage, the original sounds by Pure H from the album where remixed and rearranged by ten different artists. So each track from the "Anadonia" album became a new face. The same room but a different view; and as you may know a different view can change the complete picture. Ten artists: Eraldo Bernocchi, P.C.M, Chris Wood, KK Null, Dj Suregeon, Wodan, Rihard Dunlap, Burp, Mo Shang and Psychedelic Desert... origins from Italy, Germany England, United States, Taiwan South Africa and Japan. What a project! Although having ten different views it seems to me that all these artists were connected through the music, through their aims and hearts. The result is a fantastic album with dark and colourful like a butterfly. Each track can exist for itself but the whole album is a fascinating piece of music. An innovative and bewitching album; with a deep atmosphere.
