Split in three different personalities as Matthew Dear , Audion and False, he is always able to slip into the "role " which fits his musical needs.
False is the dark minimal moniker of Matthew different to Audion. A dark atmosphere resonates in each track, dark but never scary, cold but never heartless. With the album "2007" Matthew pushes Minimal out of this known club context . Like beautiful people dancing for hours with Martinis in their hands. This is Minimal song writing in its best meaning. I mean he gives Minimal a new relevance an underground context without getting absurd. The balance between Experimental and Techno is nonesuch and ground shaking. Tracks like "meat me at the market" or dollar down disperses an atmosphere of tension and joy at once. The grooves of "2007" come to save your soul and free your mind.
