This is one of the strangest records I ever had to write about… really, which doesn’t mean that Servants of the Apocalyptic Goat Rave is a bad record. Far from it! It is a great album.
You should be warned, this record is a journey straight to hell and back. But I can’t help myself I suppose that the Servants don’t mean it business. Yes a little bit like a Rocky no Punk IDM Horror Show. With this in mind and that really everything’s possible, take a seat and lean back. Turn you stereo as loud as you can and the gates of hell will be open. But just to put it in the “hell” drawer is to simple. As I said I guess that the Servants had a lot of fun when the produced this record. A record which owns a special sound I never heard before, Hardcore IDM with a smiling Breakcore Attitude.. Like Dr. Frankenstein they produced the ideal scary record together and when they recognised that people will be scared of it they put enough wit in the music. This record will turn parties in a moshpit… but the people will never loose their smile on their faces, maybe some teeth when they dance.
In the beginning I was confused, now I really love this great great album.
