BELLADONNAKILLZ - APRIL 2006 - ENGLISH VERSION

CM>>>It's the second time we talk, it's nearly a year ago. What happened since the release of "Perverted and Proud" and "AS IF". Did you had the chance to tour even you were occupied with the new album?

Bella>>>I tried to organize a tour, but interest was limited at the time. So I sat on my ass for over a year and wrote a whole new album.

CM>>>What about the reactions about your first album? Are you satisfied with the way things went?

Bella>>>I don’t have a millions dollars, don’t live in a mansion, still ride a bike. In a word, no.

CM>>> Your new album"AS IF" will be released on Sublight records. How does it come to this?

Bella>>>Aaron e-mailed me and asked me. Guess what answer I gave him. C’mon. guess. :-p

CM>>>Sublight lifted off like a rocket and received a lot of good reactions through the audience and the press, do you feel a bit honored (I know it sounds a little bit pathetic) that you get signed by them?

Bella>>>To be put on a roster that includes so many amazing artists, is always a good feeling. Better than sex, or so they say.

CM>>>"AS IF" what's behind the title? Is the title connected to the songs or is the title a statement apart from the content of the album.....or is nothing behind the title and you just created it to put some journalists on thin ice?

Bella>>> I want to put journalists on thin ice. Wtf? haha

CM>>>The new album seems to me more "grown up" no more gabber and loop orgies more melodic and more sophisticated... but you also managed even without these "hard attitude" not to sound weak; I would say it sounds "sharper" than the first.
I think these are the words I would like to use for a review. Or would you laugh or feel offended when I use words like more grown up?

Bella>>> Yes, I feel very offended. Never say that again. Forever young!

CM>>>Do you spent more time to create the album? any changes in the technology you 've used?

Bella>>>This album was spent in one long 14-month session. The first was written over a 3 year period here and there. And I switched to cubase from logic. FUCK EMAGIC. Although they rock, still, FUCK EM.

CM>>>Besides me feelings how would you describe the difference between Perverted and AS IF?

Bella>>> The difference is like comparing the soviet red army to a lamp. Or something like that.

CM>>>You also chosen a simpler artwork than before? To avoid a "musical bias" through a picture...ok laugh about me!

Bella>>>HAHAHAHAHAHA

CM>>>I think I can't ask you to comment about every song, but can you tell me something about the new songs?

Bella>>>Are you serious? The lyrics are soooooo obvious. C’mon!

CM>>>What comes next a tour in Canada, America...?Do you see a chance for some gigs in Europe this year?

Bella>>> I would love to go to Europe this year, but I don’t know many promoters and am looking for people who are interested in bringing me/us down to play. Do you know of anyone? I’m hoping maybe I can organize something in august, or if not, april next year.

CM>>>This time you waived to put a remix version on your album, any plans for remix versions besides the album? I also remarked that last time we talked I forgot to ask you how it came to the Panacea remix? Do you met him personally?

Bella>>>Before, I used to promote parties in Toronto, and being a big fan of panacea, I decided to bring him here. That was how we met. Over time we kept in touch, and I decided to send him some new music I have been working on. The rest, as I say, is history.
